We are excited to launch a unique Mediterranean restaurant in Northeast Raleigh called Flip It (named after the popular Middle Eastern dish Maqluba)! This restaurant is located in Northeast Raleigh at 5821 Poyner Village Parkway, Suite 103.

Flip It features the famous Middle Eastern delicacy Maqluba (Arabic: مقلوبة, means ‘upside-down’). For centuries, Maqluba has been one of the most popular dishes in the Middle East. It consists of meat, rice, and fried vegetables placed in a pot, which is flipped upside down when served, hence the name.

In addition to Maqluba, Flip It features other popular Middle Eastern dishes including Mujadara (Lentil and Rice), Musakhan (Sumac Chicken Flatbread), Maftoul (Middle Eastern Couscous), and popular Middle Eastern desserts – Kunafa and Baklava.

My new favorite restaurant! We ordered the maklouba for the table, mujadara, and samosas, kibbeh, grape leaves. Every single items was absolutely delicious! We came as a family of 6 and each one of us left feeling full and satisfied. The atmosphere of Flip It is so clean, so beautiful, and so inviting. The service was excellent and the owner also made sure the customers had a great dining experience. She was so lovely to speak with and very friendly, along with her staff. We’ll be back again and again 🙂 we are so happy to have this gem in Raleigh.

Went on a whim with my husband and our friend. Staff and owner were friendly and very inviting. We were informed of the owner's drive for opening the restaurant and her purpose: just providing great food and exposing people to her culture. We got the Maklouba and it was fantastic. Was great getting to experience a family style meal which is hard to find. Definitely would recommend a long with going again.
